One of my favorite things to do when I am doing the dishes, cleaning, or even running, is listening to podcasts. Over the past few years, they have opened up a whole other world of possibility to me. Through listening to people’s stories of success and even failures, I have been able to change my mindset regarding the future. And I have learned some incredible things from  some pretty smart people.

For this reason, today, I want to share with you a few of my favorite episodes from different podcasts—all shows that I think may help you as you think through the year ahead. Each episode listed below covers a different area of life. If you’re a podcast person or are curious to listen, I hope you find the following encouraging.

In episode one, they talk about the process. And in episode two, they share what they’re learning on their current journey of saying Hello to 2018, and Goodbye to 2017.

For A Strong Mind

37 The Podcast, Season 4, Episode 3: On this episode, hosts Michael Yoder and Dr. Terry Linhart interview the Mental Performance Consultant for Head Coach Brian Kelly and the Notre Dame Football team, Dr. Amber Selking. It’s a must listen for anyone who wants to make a change.

For a Healthier Body

Jen Hatmaker’s For The Love Podcast; Danielle Walker—The Healing Power of Food: In this episode, Jen interviews the founder of Against All Grains, who shares how eating certain foods has helped heal her autoimmune disease. But, we don’t need to have a physical sickness to appreciate this episode. If you are sick of thinking about food and dieting as a means to losing weight, this will be helpful in changing your mindset. And, it will give you an excellent source for new recipes.

For Finding a Place of Belonging

The Chase Jarvis Live Show, with Brene Brown (October 18, 2017): In this episode Chase and Brene talk through her new book, Braving the Wilderness. They discuss what true belonging looks like, and how creativity has a unique role in creating spaces of connection in our world. Tip: keep a pen and paper nearby, you might want to take notes!
